This album is the creative result of two semester-long Independent Studies in Music done during the academic year of 2014. The first semester I academically explored the creation of alter-ego's through sampling in Hip Hip, specifically focusing on Madlib's alter-ego Quasimoto and Quasimoto's debut album, "The Unseen" (available to read here: bit.ly/1td8Nw5 ). The second semester I took the creative reigns and was tasked with conceiving an alter-ego, using only samples to create a narrative about that personality. The result is "Mr. Utopia's: Promising a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow". The explanation of the albums themes is up to the listener. Explore the appendix of samples, and enjoy!
